3 month old off morning feeds
« on: November 13, 2005, 13:47:53 pm »
Hi my 3 month old DS is now sleeping through the night. :)  :)  He has his DF at around 10.30pm now but although he wakes around 7am is not always hungry. He usually starts stirring in the early hours (4-5am) of the morning but I stick his dummy (paci) in and its works for a while. Sometimes he'll only take 2 oz and then get hungry 2 hours later which impacts on the rest of the day. We know its not his nappy as when we've changed it, he does his 'hungry' cry so we feed him but he snacks? :?

His next mid-morning feed is a bit better but his biggest feed is usually in the afternoon.
Should I reduce his DF? Any suggestions and advice would be welcome.

many thanks,
xx

Hi there

A couple of options for this:

~ Move the DF to 10.00pm rather than 10.30

~ Reduce the DF by an oz or so

~ Try to keep him distracted for a bit first thing and feed him a little later (if you think he can do that).

I'd probably go for moving the DF back first - that way he should hopefully be that little bit more hungry in the morning. The potential back fire of that though is that he'll wake earlier!

HTH

love
Marie
