Dream feeds during day?
« on: November 14, 2005, 16:16:01 pm »
Hello!

I'm wondering if there's any harm in something I've done a few times now...doing dreamfeeds during naps.  The reason I've done it is when there are days where our routine goes out the window right from the first minutes in the day, and getting calories into the twins is a top priority because I don't want night wakings to resume.  So basically, if my babies are too overtired to eat and need to nap, I will feed them their bottle in their sleep (as usually they'll start the bottle but will only have an ounce or two due to tiredness and will scream to be put to sleep).

Anyone else done this?  Is this a big no-no?

Thanks!

Sarah

Hi Sarah

I've never answered posts about any one else doing this so I don't know if anyone does.

The only thing I would say is as long as they're not feeding to sleep (but are able to fall asleep independantly) then if it works for you, keep at it!

You have enough on your plate with twins to worry if something goes against what the books tell you.

If it works for you and you're happy with it, then that's fine.

love
