A Time for a 10-Month Old

We got off track awhile ago, and can't seem to get back in the groove.  In the past, I have found that if I can get the A time right, the naps just fall into place.  However, with dd, if you wait until the first yawn, she's gone too long and will not sleep more than 45min.  I have tried adjusting A time to get good naps back, but I can't seem to find the right balance.

At 10mos, what are your A times throughout the day?

Hi Deborah,

I think my Emily operates differently from Maya.  I find I have to get her almost overtired in order to get more than a 45min nap from her.  But I do find once I get her A times sorted, naps usually last about 1.5 hrs.  Here's her A times.

1st A time-2-2.5 hrs
2nd A time-3 hrs
3rd A time-3 hrs, 15mins

Good Luck, Tarri

Ethan is right at 9 months, but his A times are...

1st A time - about 3 hours
2nd A time - 3 to 3.5 hours
3rd A time - 3 to 4 hours (depending on how long that last pm nap was!)  :?

Taryn is 9.5mo and her A times are

1st-3.5 hours
2nd-3.5 hours
3rd 4-4.5 hours

She has never been a long napper...a miracle is a nap over one hour...even when we started EASY.

Eirwen is still on the sleepy side of things...like Maya, if I wait too long, yawning and rubbing eyes we don't get our naps

1st- 1.5 hrs
2nd- 2 hrs
3rd- 2-3.5 (sometimes cat nap sometimes none)

at 9 mo we generally only have a 45 min morning nap and a 1hr 30 afternoon nap with the occassional extension of morning nap to 1-1hr 30

aproximate awake times:
1st A = 2 1/2 hrs
2nd A = 3-3 1/2 hrs (shorter end if longer morning nap because latest put to bed for 2nd nap is 1:30pm regardless)
3rd A = 4 - 4 1/2 until in bed going to sleep

Owen is 10 months and we've been pretty much consistent since around 8 months  :)

1st A=2 1/2 hours
2nd A=3 hours
3rd A=4 to 4 1/2 hours

On the days he is in nursery, the 2nd activity time is shorter because they muck up the first nap.  And like someone else said, it's 1.30 pm regardless.
