Question about extending A time
« on: November 14, 2005, 18:47:13 pm »
When extending A time, does that mean active activity time, like playing or bouncy chair etc?  Or can it mean taking a 15 min extra walk.  I don't want to overstimulate her, but then again, I want to get rid of the 45 min naps, so I want her to be awake longer.

Question about extending A time
« Reply #1 on: November 15, 2005, 02:32:19 am »
Hi cwolff-

Extending activity time is really extending awake time and the actual activity doesn't matter. I find that I have to spend the last half an hour doing a walk or looking around the house and winding down in my son's room. I really have to strecth him but I try to do it low key. If I keep him up then he sleeps longer than 45 min. My ds is five months old and I can keep him awake about two hours and 15 minutes.

Hope this helps!
