Dropping bottle feeds
« on: November 18, 2005, 01:33:37 am »
I was wondering when do they usually go to 3 bottles a day?
My little guy was taking four 8oz bottles a day in addition to his solids 3x a day but lately he's only been taking about 4-6 oz. at some of his feedings which has me worried.  Is this o.k.?  He's 8 months.
Btw, he always gets his bottles before his solids.

Sounds fine to me too!! My pediatrician said around 9 months they may go down to 3 bottles a day. She also said that with increasing solids they will decrease the formula and not to worry, it's perfectly normal and they are getting good nutrition as long as you are giving a variety of foods.
HTH!!
