Dropping a bottle feed...
« on: November 20, 2005, 23:24:59 pm »
Would this be better for a baby whom dosen't drink alot any way, I am wondering if my dd who is almost 9 months, well 8 1/2 would do better on 3 bottles a day, I have just stopped nursing and she takes formula really well but not much, anywhere between 2-5 ounces depending...I wonder if 3 bottles and 3 solids with an afternoon snack would be better?  I may ask the ped but I find the advice much better here. thanks

I dropped to 3 bottles around the same time and dd amounts of formula at each feeding went way after a few days.  She gets her bottles at wakeup 6:30, before pm nap 1:30, and at bed time 6:45pm with solids at 8,11,5.  She drinks around 8 or 9oz at a time and only around 4 or 5 before.

If it works it is absolutely OK!!!  :D   I don't think it is uncommon to go to 3 at that age...
