6 month old constipated

I used to do bottle and breast feeding but I just weaned her. now she is on all formula with solids (oatmeal and fruits) she is constipated and I am not sure if I should switch  formula. she has been taking Similac for about 3 months now and other than the constipation she is fine. even prun juice does not seem to regulate her. what should I do. when she pushes she is uncomfortable :(

Hi,
Has she been constipated ever since your started the Similac?  If so, you maybe want to try a different one.  When she pushes does she seem like she is in pain/cries?  If she is grunting/red faced I think that is normal.  Her poops should also be "soft" in consistency.

HTH  :D

My doctor said the oatmeal is better than rice cereal and oatmeal actually helps constipation. she had me change formula to Nestle Good Start. so hopefully this will help my poor little girl. thanks

I hope it works  :D   As far as switching goes, you could start with half and half or just switch over cold turkey - I've done that with Zoe with no problems.
