Biting at 3 months
« on: November 22, 2005, 14:35:15 pm »
I have read the other posts regarding biting, but at 3 months I was wondering whether I should introduce a dummy/paci to help with the teething problems, he has already cut a tooth and is biting his fingers constantly?  Or should I just try the pull in method?

Thanks
Ali

I did the pull-in with mine at 4.5 mo.  I wouldn't introduce a paci now, since at 3 mo it has the potential to become a habit and can be very hard to break. That's just my opinion though.   It's very tough when they teethe so early because they don't have the motor skills to hold teething toys in themselves.  I did a lot of sitting with DS on my lap while he chewed on a rag, or a cold teether or whatever that I held for him.  the teething won't last too much longer, and hopefully for the next set of teeth, your LO will at least be able to hold his own teethers.
