Argh!!!!This kid is driving me nuts!!!!

Ok I feel like I have posted a million times about sleeping but here comes one million and one!

My 4 1/2 old ds has had many sleep issues. He can now sleep indepentently, I have been able to extend one of his daytime naps, sleeping better at night. He has come so far!!!! I just wanted to do a happy dance!!!

Until he started refuseing bedtime. This is most likely my fault. We started having trouble getting him to go down at night, screaming crying , not settling. Soemtimes he seemed over tired but this is really the most sleep he has been getting since...4 months ago!!! Anyways we would do pu/pd and it would take a hour or more but he would eventually go to sleep/give up.  When his wake up time would come he would wake, eat , and immediatly fall back alseep. He was hard to rouse and not very pleasent if I did! So I decided to let him sleep.

I think he has somehow switched his schdule!!! Now he won't go to bed until 10 or 11 and won't get up before 10!!!

He started refuseing to take his cat nap. Then won't go to sleep so he is up for 5+ hours!!! Last night I rocked him to get him drowsy. The whole time he looked up at me smiling! Argh!!!

He is crabby but not screaming. He has always had a late biorhythem so he was doing a 9-9 schedule, 8 if we had a bad sleep day.

Got to go he has awoken!!! Please help.

Hi there,

I am going to move your post to the toddler sleep forum, where you will get lots of help from mums who also have toddlers.

My LO used to do this and I found that she did much better if she went dow by 6. I out her on a 6 o'clock routine and then gradually adjusted it. She reverted back a few times but it finally stuck.
