did i make the right decision?

emily has been swaddled since she was 2 weeks - up til 10 weeks it was in a miracle balnket and since then she has been in a grobag with just her arms swaddled in the aussie swaddle style.she was 4 1/2months on fridy and i left one arm out and she took ages to get to sleep then woke herself up again so ive put the arm back in the swaddle and am thinking about trying again when she is 6months?

I would just wait until she is ready I swaddled my lil boy in his miracle blanket up until he was around 6mths old obviously after 4 mths he would get out of the miracle blanket, I knew to stop once he was able to roll in his miracle blanket and at around 6mth he has full control ova his arms so they didnt startle him. She will let u know when she is ready!! HTH

I would say try it again in 1-2 weeks.  Babies change at a pretty quick pace so it may be possible that she will be ready at that time.  If not, you can go back to a full swaddle for another week or so.

How is she doing with bringing her hands to her mouth?  Can she put her thumb in her mouth on her own when she's not swaddled?

she puts her fingers in her mouth but has only put her thumb in her mouth once.
