Hi!

It seems like you still have your LO on a three hour routine.  Have you thought about switching her to a four hour EASY routine?  After babies are about 4 months old  they can go for longer periods between feeds and sleep.  I know that my DS feedings and sleep was so out of whack until I realised that this was his problem!

There's a sample of the 4/4 (four months/four hours) routine in Tracy's new book, The Baby Whisperer Solves All Your Problems.  I think there's also a sample of the 4/4 EASY routine on the activity board.

Found it!  I copied this off of the other board so you wouldn't have to switch over.

Quote (selected)
4-hr EASY

E: 7.00 wake up and feed
A: 7.30
S: 9.00 (for 1.5-2hr nap)
Y: your choice
E: 11.00
A: 11.30
S: 1.00 (1.5-2hr nap)
Y: your choice
E: 3.00
A: 3.30
S: 5.00 or 6.00 or somewhere in between catnap
Y: your choice
E: 7.00 (cluster feed at 7 and 9 during a growth spurt)
A: bath
S: 7.30 bedtime
Y: the evening is yours
E: 10 or 11pm dreamfeed (until 7 or 8mths or whenever solid food is firmly established).

While I don't stick to this schedule exactly down to the minute, it did change how well DS ate and slept!

HTH,
Charlotte

Hi!

I think if you put your LO to bed later (say 7pm) then the early wakings should get better.  Possibly 5:30pm is too early and they don't mean that much sleep?

I know you said you tried the schedule that the other post-er posted but it will probably take at least a few days for it to have an impact.

Best wishes to you!! I hope it solves itself and fast!
