How do you drop the dreamfeed?
« on: December 05, 2005, 03:36:57 am »
My son is 6 months old and I think that we are ready to drop the dreamfeed.  He takes 7 ounces 4 times during the day with fruit and cereal in the morning and veggies before bath and bed.  How do I go about doing this?
God will give you exactly what you ask Him for, even if it's not in the package you expected it to be in.

Hi Amy

The usual suggestion is to reduce the amount you give in the DF each night over a week - that way you're not withdrawing the feed immediately (so less change he'll wake up hungry!).

Try reducing the bottle by an Oz every night.

Hi, sorry, I don't have any breast feeding experience as my DD was exclusively bottle fed. If you put a post in the Breast Feeding Forum I'm sure some of the ladies over there will give you some tips.
