Help From Moms of 4-Monthers
« on: December 06, 2005, 11:14:22 am »
Hi there. I recently posted on the nap board about needing to tweak my DD's awake times - Nina is just over four months - due to some short naps.

I'm getting some great help there, but would also love to hear from Moms of other 4 months old. What do your routines look like? How long are your A times? Are you getting through short naps?

Thanks.

When my DD was 4 months, she was doing 45 mins naps.  They have extended due to my patience and the ssshh.  She is now doing 1.45 to 2 hrs, with me going in and giving her dummy when she wakes up at the 40 mins mark and then she just goes back to sleep.

Even though my DD is 5.5 months (but 4 months 3 weeks as she was a premmie) she can only stay awake for 1.30hr to 1.40hr so she is on a 3.5hr EASY.  I act on her cues when she is tired (nose and between the eyebrows goes red and she starts rubbing her eyes) and then I put her to bed.

My Ds only naps twice for maybe an hour!! I try so hard to get into a proper routine but its hard with 2.5 year old in tow, she seems to wake him up frequently. Luckily for me he is a happy soul and gets himself to sleep himself. He sleeps from 7.30 til 8, but wakes a couple of times for a feed. ps hes twenty weeks
