He'd Rather Have the Solids than the Breastmilk-Help!

I feel like we've had all kinds of problems with starting solids-thanks for all of your help; but, I'm back with another question.

My guy is six and a half months and has been on solids for about three weeks now. We started slowly, limiting him to a couple teaspoons twice a day. However, he's starting to want more-I think he'd just keep eating and eating if we let him. So, for the past three days or so I've been following his cues and feeding him more; this morning he had about 1/4 cup of oatmeal, and half a stage one container of pears. Well, he normally eats 'breakfast' an hour after nursing, and then nurses again three hours later-he's on 4 hour EASY. Well, he's not eating three hours later. He seems completely uninterested. I tried to feed him an hour later than usual (since he didn't want to eat at his normal time) and again-completely uninterested.

Is this common? I'm really worried to keep offering the solids if he's going to give up nursing-my supply will lack, won't it? And, I thought he should be getting most of his nourishment through the milk. Arrrrg.

Should I go back to limiting him to a couple teaspoons at each meal? I'm hesitant to add lunch and keep dinner constant if he's not nursing. Any advice would be great.

He's a spirited baby and LOVES new things; he's yet to spit out a new food. He's just devoured all of it that we offer. I guess that's good? Besides the nursing issue.

That does sound like alot of cereal for such a little one. When I was given the guidelines for feeding at his age I was advised to give  2-3 teaspoons of cereal and 1 tablesoo of fruit/veg. I would cut down the solids otherwise your milk supply will dry up and your little one's intake will be too low.
