New to formula
« on: December 12, 2005, 02:07:25 am »
Just wondering if I need to start giving my ds cereal.  I am going to be using formula more so I was wondering if the rules stay the same in regards to cereal at 6 months.  That's what I was advised when he was EBF, they said we didn't need to supplement anything else but milk.... is that still so?  He is almost 5 months and I think I'm going to start soon, but I tried to day with little success.  So I'm just wondering if it's fine to just keep with about half formula and half breast milk.

Thanks, Jodie

Yep, perfectly fine.  :D  If he doesn't take to solids right away...just try again in a couple days or a week.  Sometimes it takes a little time for them to get used to it.  :D

My doctor said no solids until 6 months unless she drinks 36oz of formula a day and is still hungry.
