DS having a party in the middle of the night
« on: December 14, 2005, 07:17:24 am »
My 13 week son has been waking at night (at different times) cooing, laughing, and kicking his feet very loudly. He will do this for about and hour and then fall back asleep by himself. He will also do this for about 2 hours when he supposed to be going to bed for the night. If left alone, he is fine, but intervention makes him upset. I have noticed that over the past 2 weeks he is gaining more control over his limbs and has been experimenting with the sounds of his voice. However, my ds also gets extremely hyper toward the end of the day as he gets more tired. I have been working on extending wake time and sleep time. Is this a developmental thing or something in need of intervention? Does anyone else's lo do this?

purely developmental and only needs intervention if crying for help or gets upset...average/most common age for this is 4 mo but can happen earlier .... it too shall pass  :D
