My DS is 5 months and 3 weeks old. He takes nap when ever he feels like he is tierd. So it is not regular. somedays he take 2 hours nap twice, or 1 hour nap 3-4 times. So altogether he gets min of 4-5 hrs sleep in nap. So I think he is doing it right :? .
The problem is he does not have a peaceful sleep the full 2 hours. He wakes up briefly I either have to pat him or rock him or feed him. This happens every 30mins or every 5 mins. If I think he's finished sleeping and let him wake up he is cranky and cries till I make him sleep.
He does not know to sleep by himself day and night. Is it ok that I pat him? Or is this becoming a habbit. Even at night times same thing happens. Since we are co sleeping I pat him in my sleep when ever he wakes up. If it is more than two hours he will need a feeding. So I nurse him. So every night he feeds atleast 4-5 times.
