Why do they seem sleepy after they have had their naps...
« on: December 22, 2005, 00:47:11 am »
my dd is taking her naps very well, about 1 1/2 in the morning, sometimes less and then an hour to 2 hours in the afternoon.  sometimes after her long afternon nap she still seems tired??  and so cranky? she goes to sleep at 7pm (can't stay up any longer) and sleeps till about 6:30-7 the next morning.  is there something else wrong?  would the teething make her that irritable??  thanks :?

Hi This sounds just like my DS he is 22 week and only today he had 1hour and 45 mins and woke up yawning and grumpy, he's not like this after every sleep but a few times a week.  He has just got first two teeth!! not sure if this has anything to do with it.  I also struggle to keep him on the 4 hour easy as the most he will stay awake between sleeps is 1 1/2 hours and the same as your dd I just can't keep him up longer than 7 pm.  I know this probebly doesn't answer your question but at least your not alone.

Sarah :)

i find it strange sometimes, for instance today she took a 2 hour nap in the morning and another 2 hour nap in the afternoon, has never done this before, guess she needed it, she wakes up happy so i know its what she needs but then an hour later she is rubbing her eyes and yawning again :?
