Hi I'm new here...
« on: December 22, 2005, 05:10:13 am »
...and way too tired to do a proper intro, but I will soon  .

My 7.5 month old (spirited) son always turns over on his tummy to sleep.  Do I go in and turn him back over to his back after he's asleep (re SIDS)?  I'm just so paranoid to wake him and go through the whole back to sleep deal all over again.

Please for your advice.

Nope!  Just leave him be!  I had the same problem with DS, and his ped. said that once babies can roll over, parents can't just watch over them all night to make sure that they stay on their backs.  Studies show that once they can roll over, most of the SIDS is limited anyway.

Of course, everything that I just mentioned should be talked about with your child's ped. or nurse just to make sure!  (Gotta cover my bases!)

Hope that helps!
