13 weeks old and waking once per night!!!!
« on: December 22, 2005, 19:39:43 pm »
Hi I would like some advice on how to get my 13 week old dd to sleep from 7am-7pm. Now I am breastfeeding and she is gaining weight beautifully. (13.5lb or 6kg). She feeds around 5 times during the day. Her final day feed is around 6pm and then I try to dreamfeed her at 10-11pm or dh will give her formula, of which she will take 3-4oz!!! She then goes back down till 3.30/4am. Now when she was younger she would sleep through till 5-6am and this has now all changed. I have tried to encourage her to feed more in the day, but wont take anymore. She gets the recommended amount of sleep during the day. She is quite happy to put settle herself to sleep. now I would appreciate help in getting her to go 10 hours at night. I do wonder whether the dream feed sets her to wake up? I wondered whether to drop it and see what happends.

Dianne,

I read your title and thought you were celebrating!!! Once a night only is fantastic for a 13 week old. Sorry I don't have any advice about whether to try dropping the dreamfeed but remember 6 hours is 'sleeping through the night'.
