going out when is cold

I used to go out for a walk with my ds. He is 4 months old. Is it ok to go out when the weather is colder? TOday is -5 C, so I am not sure how to dress him.  We don't use a sleeping bag for his stroller, but instead a goose comforter and lamb skin under. Any suggestions?

My DM swears by the fresh air and the colder the better (just as long as it isn't damp) Make sure you cover him up though - we are mobile and warm ourselves up by moving and walking - he is placed in a pushchair and probably won't move until he is back at home so he needs extra warm clothes, hat, scarf, mittens and a nice thick blanket or a double fleece to keep him "as snug as a bug in a rug"  I invested in a snugglytots and it was the best buy ever - she still uses it as it is like a fleece-lined duvet and here in Turin it gets really cold in winter (usually between -5 and -9)
