Kate - While I was posting my novel, jeez that was long and did it even make any sense?  Sorry Traci I tried, I too missed a bunch of posts!

Judy - MD's tick me off aas well, the only thing I like about not having healthcare is that here I am more a customer to a doctor and can pick and choose whom I get the best service from.

Roz - Sophie LOVES BE and watches a video once a day, so you are definately not a bad mommy!  Or maybe I am just a worse mommy   8) !

Nancy - I buy whole wheat dinner rolls.  I find if I get the small ones they stay moister than bread and end up having the sort of soft side easier to bite/chew ect...

I really am cleaning the house today  , I am almost done...

OH-Judy-about the homo.  going to call my ped.  that seems silly. Obviously then people would want to do homo with iron/cereal supplement...so much cheaper than formula and tasted WAY better.  hmmm, makes me wonder.  thanks for the input though.  the girls starting homo soon then?

Let me know what your pedi says.  I don't have any plans to start them too soon.  They're just 8months so I wouldn't start them on milk before 9months at the earliest and even that... not sure I'm ready for...  I want to do what's best for them and not just what's most convenient for me - although with two I don't think bottles is convenient at all really.  And now I've just been bitten on each nipple as I type this so maybe I need to rethink that statement ;)

Nikki how do you not put yourself in the position to be ignored?  Try not to say much in the first place?  I think getting out to the dr's first thing has just sent our whole day into a tailspin.  I'm in an easily frustrated mindset, the girls are seeming to be in the frame of mind to just stand and yell at each other  and play with all the noisest toys (was it really MY idea to get them a play toolset with play drill??) and bang non-stop on things.  So much for asking them not to be so loud because I have a headache.  Seems to be motivation for them.  They were chasing each other down trying to get markers.  When I suggested Zoe ask Sarah to let her know when she was done with hers Zoe apparently didn't like this option and took her marker and coloured my kitchen cupboards - washable thankfully.  SO after asking Zoe to clean it up Sarah though it would be a good idea to use her marker to colour the drawers.  Right now Zoe has stolen Sarah's tape and Sarah's chasing her crying.... Zoe has not stopped running and turned around pointing this freakin' drill at her trying to scare her.  It's working.  I'm just sitting her feeding...  the reason it's NOT a good idea to put my head through the wall?????  I already have a headache so don't give me that reason...  Knock me out?  This would be bad because???? ;)

And I say to myself - 'it's all good it's all good it's all good'

Well look at that - they've stopped yelling (thank heaven's I though my head might explode) and are now working together on whatever it was one of them was trying to do in the first place (I snagged the freakin' drill -  I think the batteries need to go missing on that stupid thing.  They're going to successfully waste an entire roll of tape - do I care?  Not at all so long as they're not screaming at me or each other.

I smack his little ar$e!!!  :P  JK!  No, you're right, it's about not making a request that I *know* is going to be heard by cloth ears.  It is about thinking about what I want the outcome to be and coming up with another solution (you know this stuff  ) to get the desired result - creativity, heading it off before it kicks in.  But, that is so much easier for me because I only have one at that stage and a baby that doesn't mind being plonked around as needed so I'm never really tied to a spot.  I know my biggest frustrations and triggers are when we get into a battle of wills (aka not listening to me or doing as I say aka not UP).  I really, really struggle with it still.  Even if I was to give the UP way a big kick in the ar$e and go back to the other methods, it wouldnt' be any better right?  In fact worse for all of us.  I look at this as falling into a bit of the 80/20 theory - we get it right 80% of the time and the other 20% we just have to learn from - I kind of think there's always going to be a 20% because the scenarios take a shift and turn constantly.

Well, after I considered dropping to 3 bottles a day, Liv CHUGGED her lunchtime bottle. So I guess we'll stick with 4 for now, but I have a feeling it won't be for too long. Thanks for all the input.

TRACI--Liv is usually up 2.75 to 3 hours between naps. If she goes down at about 10:45 she'll usually sleep till about 12 or 12:15. Then she'll go down around 3 or 3:15. If nap #1 is short and she wakes at 11:30, then I'll put her down around 2:30 or try to stretch her to 2:45.

ROZ--yeah for Sol!!! I will keep you posted on the bread if and when I get the nerve to try it.

KATE--thanks for the high-five (and the anti-jimx dance...you are too funny!!!)

MICKY--you are too funny. I must admit I've burned cheesy toast, but I can't say I've ever burned pasta!

You girls crack me up....thanks for the laugh. Now off to get some "me" time before nap is over. Uh-oh, I hear someone stirring....CRUD!!!

HI girls!  Thanks for all of the hugs after my rant.
Nancy-thanks for the work advice...it really helped me feel better. I use whole wheat bread and find if I toast it too long it gets too hard.  Lots of problems with choking about a month ago and now he is doing much better.
Roz-How are you doing on the work front?  I also consider going back to work but know that I would rather be at home.  I am currently looking at working a bit more part time for an educational consulting business.  Do you have any options to work part time?
Judy-I say get a new ped. if he is being such a snot.  You are going to be in there for a few years so why not like the person whom you trust with your dearest ones.  Love the drill story and so glad they worked it out on their own.  I bet your kitchen looked beautiful with their art work.
Andrea-I was a teacher.  I am still working once a week for 4 hours metoring new teachers but it is nothing compared to what I used to do.  I really enjoyed working with parents and volunteered for different committee so I am missing that too.  How is your business coming, we are all ready to do some shopping!  My AF came about 3 months ago and I got it 2x's in 5 weeks.  Haven't seen it again for about 5 weeks.  I found that it came when I dropped a feed a while back. I am curious to see what will happen when I go down to 3 feeds.
Richelle-I was asked by a woman in the store what was wrong with Ben because he was so loud.  I told her that he inherited some great lungs and happy genes.. arggg
Karen-sometimes I pump if Ben is pushing me away so much or wait 20-30 minutes.  Sometimes I let him jump on my lap a bit then reapply the nipple. Also he seems to have a tough time if he has been playing with DH and then it is time to eat.  We have to go to the back of the house to
feed before bed and even then he is distracted by DH's noises.
Kate-I too am having a hard time coming to the realization that BF will be done soon.  I am sad to have to drop one in the next few days.  We will be here for you when the time comes.  For now lots of cuddling while BF right?
Hayley-ok I forgot to put in my disclaimer about working out at 5.  That is the only time I can fit it in without getting a babysitter.  Dh is at work at 6:15/I so want to be with DH when he gets home at night so I only go once a week in the evening.  My bump is going down but it is still lovely!!!!  I do know that they do disappear because my kick boxing instructor has had 3 babies in the last 4 years and she is rock solid.  OF course I am sure she works out like crazy.  Maybe if I pinch it enough it will disapear  I know it was long ago when MILF got brought up but I was asking Dh last night about the acronym for the tummy fat used by guys.  I kinda got the area wrong.  He told me that it is a FAP  which is fat above Pu**y I know I am very foul mouthed today.  ANYWAY it is really the area below the tummy fat that FAP is referring to.  Sorry if this was too much but I was laughing so hard about it last night I thought I needed to share it with all of the ladies.  enough
Everyone with sleeping stuff I am wishing and praying it goes away soon, VERY soon.
I will be back later hopefully.

Too funny.  Yes it's all about being prepared and thinking up other options ahead of time (or after the fact for next time I guess)

Micky what exactly do you mean by "cheesy toast"?

Hi, you know you're addicted when.... you get a spare keyboard out of the cupboard so your DS can tap away like mummy does!!!!!!

Lots to write but not sure how long the keyboard entertainment will last, so here goes.

Traci good on you for trying to stick to a plan, I know it's not easy when things are going wrong to be consistent, cos you keep coming up with things that might help. But try the new times for a few days and who knows what might happen.

Nancy what did you expect? Of course now that you've made a decision Liv is sure to test it.... LOL as you say, she'll probably change back in a day or so.

Roz Daniel has had bread for a while, usually toast though. It's always been white bread, but now we've got a breadmaker I thought I might try him on some slightly grainy bread that DH made. It''s not very grainy at all mostly just white with a few little little grainy bits. I'll let you know how it goes.

Micky I think I might be able to beat you in the worst cook competition. I followed a recipe the other day which for some strange reason involved oil in a microwave (sweet potato brushed with oil, zap for 2-3 mins) looked like an easy yummy recipe for Daniel. WELL.... we had flames, big flames in the microwave and no sweet potato left, just black charcoal!  What I can't understand is why it happened, I followed the recipe! Note to myself, don't use oil in the microwave again. For the next few days everytime we used the microwave it stunk like smoke.

Oh, someone wants me. Better go. Talk later.

Well Judy there is your visual on cheesy toast from Micky.  My take on cheezy toast is melted cheese on toast?

ROTFLMAO Micky - that is fantastic!  I LOVE to cook, always have.  DH loves it and it is one of the greatest perks of my new role!

LMAO Micky!

Macaire, loved your come back to the person who asked about Ben being noisy!   8)  And I've never heard of a FAP!

Judy, now here's my question for the day.   So, we go to coffee group this morning (these are 4 mums and kids from our pregnancy class).  Anyway, they are all of the "other" form of discipline (one is a known smacker but not in public  ), today was reeeeaaaallllly bad!  I just don't bother "going there" with explaining my way, because I'm just not like that for one, and two, I kind of take the stance that it's not my business what they do (unless I saw a parent beating their child, which has never happened).  One of the girls hit Nathan (I didn't see it), he didn't care and carried on, one mum pointed it out, the mother of the girl rushed over and DEMANDED that she apologise (over and over for about 5mins), I was thinking, eeek, what now (I'm sitting in another room BFing), there was a battle going on between mother and dd.  Thankfully the girl apologised, but my god, I know I wouldn't have wanted to under those circumstances.  I didn't say anything, but should I have?  If that were me and Nathan hit (he just doesn't do that stuff, so I haven't been confronted with it) I'd just go in there and "model" the apology but not demand it and if he did he did but if not I would just move us on.  Now, I'm thinking that would go down like a lead-balloon with these women and would be thought of a lax mother - do I care? Well, yes some.   WWYD?
