I'm so pleased
« on: December 31, 2005, 21:35:33 pm »
I have been bummed these last few months at my dd's reluctance to eat finger foods or textures.  I found relief in other posters' comments that their los also preferred purees for many, many months.  I just wanted to share to others who may be experiencing this situation that my dd is now accepting more table foods.  I have determined that she just needed time, and practice.  Now, she smacks her lips when I'm eating as if to say, "hey, let me try that."  It's so reassuring b/c I didn't want to send jarred food with her to kindergarten  .

Heather, thank you for your post. I'm having issues with my son not wanting my home cooked food and I'm wondering if it's too lumpy and should try purees again. He manages on the bought Stage 2 food and that seems lumpy, but maybe it's different than mine. Perhaps like your dd, he just needs some more mush!

Thank you for that, I need all the encouragement I can get at the moment  . Ds is not impressed with his new lumpy textures, so I'm just going to persevere! :)
