Shannon, isn't that funny? At this age we always think that taking forever to fall asleep at bedtime and fooling around at nap time means they're getting ready to shorten/drop a nap, but it could also be just the opposite.  My eldest son had an issue with his routine, but for some odd reason, the time change has actually rectified it.  He was taking a long time to get to sleep and so we pushed his nap later adn tried shortening it, but he went through the grumpiest phase we'd ever seen!! Then with the time change, we started getting him out of bed a little earlier and napping earlier and longer and it seemed to magically fix things.  Lucky we stumbled on that!

Just started trying a "set" bedtime. (as set as one can get lol)

6:15-7:00-wake up
7:15/30-milk (too impatient to wait for us to go down for breakfast most days)
8:00-breakfast
sometimes she has a snack mid morning
11:30-lunch will let her have milk as long as she is eating well otherwise juice or water
12:00/12:30 to anywhere from 1:30-2:30 (not consistently taking a LONG nap)
3:00-snack
5:30/6:00-dinner with milk
7:00-start bedtime routine/bath on a bathnight/pajamas/story
7:30-in bed...has been "chatting" or calling us til about 8:00 pretty consistently....trying to decided if bedtime should be earlier or later.

My guess is an earlier bedtime especially because the looks like it is 2 hours max on a good day.

Yes, EW are the worst!  >:( I hope the set bedtime works well for you. It's so much easier when you're not calculating all the time.

Hey, for any Brits with a phone that you can download app's on, I have one called "baby esp". I can log everything lo does, it tells me how long since he slept, there's charts on there, lots of useful things. I'd be lost without it lol.xx

Vinayak is almost 30 months.  And this has been his daily routine since about 18 months.

8:30  wake up call
9:00  breakfast of veggie sausages and toast and some kind of fresh fruit
12:30 lunch of chicken nuggets and fruit or a sandwhich
1:30  lie down for nap. usually asleep by 2
4:00 wake up and have a snack of yogurt and crackers
6:30 dinner varies from day to day
7:30 Appa's time...includes quiet play, bath, book and cuddles before turning out the light for the night...he is usualy asleep by 9 at the latest...has been known to be awake til 10!

Between breakfast and lunch we run errands and do fun things like park or library.  He also has free access to kefir and water.  Juice is limited to when we are out {kefir is dairy and I worry about freshness, won't drink milk}.  If he wants something to eat between breakfast and lunch I will give him some fruit or crackers but it is rare for him to ask.  So far this routine has been the most fun.  Vastly different from his newborn and baby routine!!!  More sleep being the biggest difference, he was an early bird for the first 14 months of life.

This is our day in a nutshell, I don't bathe Kaeb daily because he wants to be in the tub for an hour or more, but now that he can go play at the park, lol thats going to have to change.

Our DS is 18 1/2 months...here is his schedule

8-8:30am            Wake up & breakfast w/ juice

8:30-9:30am       Playtime

9:30-10am          Snack w/ water

10-11:30am         Playtime w/ Mommy while baby brother sleeps

11:30-12             Lunch w/ milk

12-1:30 or 2pm    Nap

2-2:30pm            Snack w/ water

2:30-5pm           Playtime (usually on his own or with a playdate while baby brother sleeps and Mommy makes dinner or visits)

5-6pm                Dinner w/ juice

6-7pm                Family playtime

7-7:30pm            Bath

7:30-8pm            Playtime with Daddy or watch video (as I am usually dealing with baby)

8pm                       Jammies on, teeth brushed

8-8:30pm                Bedtime w/ a drink of water

He sleeps in a toddler bed (since 13 months) and only wakes up if he falls out of his bed. He generally just gets back into bed and goes back to sleep without any problem.

Can post here as for the first time ever as have an okay routine at the moment. Ds is 25 months old.

Nursery days

6.45 to 7.00 wake him
8.15 arrive at nursery, breakfast
11.15 lunch
12.00/12.15 nap (this is fixed so I have to wake him up early so that he is tired enough for this nap)
13.15 or sometimes later they all wake
15.30 tea
17.00 pick him up from nursery
17.15 snack and play
18.20 bath, pjs, story
18.50 in bed
19.00 usually quiet and sleeping

non-nursery days tend to be slightly different
