Reflux affecting sleep

After reading some of the posts, there are some moms who are experiencing problems with reflux and how they affect our LO's sleep.  Can anyone offer any advice or signs to look for?  What are some other symptoms?  What type of medication were you offerred?  Are there different levels of reflux, for example, severe and less severe cases? 

DD is 10.5 WO and has been bobbing off and on at feeds lately.  She has always made wincing sounds when swallowing, and coughs and gags a lot.  She doesn't really show too many signs of hunger (I think) and doesn't really fuss that much.  She did cry out with much pain and shrieks last night and has always had a big problem with gas and poops since birth.  She also flexes and tightens her body often.

ryan used to hate even laying down as he would constantly wet burp.after i had got him to sleep he would lift his legs and thrash them back down constantly through the night,he would end up at the top of the crib.we would constantly be sitting him up through the night to try and burp him and he would gurgle alot all night.
    ryan has had huge problems with constipation.this is one of the biggest problems with reflux and the medicines don't help. we have ryan on infant gaviscon satchets in his milk and zantac twice a day.
      we still have night wakings where he coughs and gags and tenses up.when he was a baby he would always choke on his milk when we were winding him and it would come through his nose.this only happens now if he giggles too much.although we loved making him laugh we were always scared he would choke. he still suffers hiccups a lot and is not a great eater especially different textures.
        there is silent reflux where the acid just comes up the throat and they swallow it back again, the acid burns their throat and this is why they don't feed so well although they are hungry.then you have the ones where they throw up a lot of their feeds, don't have much exparience with this but they do lose weight.
