i have read all the bits about how good breastfeeding is for you , the baby etc but have just discovered something else very cool!
my ds has just started nursery and got pink eye (conjunctivitis ?spelling?) and a community paediatric speacialist nurse i work with said that breast milk can help to clear this infection because its full of antibodies  . even better, when the conjuntivitis is viral (which happens SO often as little ones rub snot into their eyes!) there is nothing medical they can do!!!
i was just at the GP, she confirmed this!
last night, i squirted some bm into Ethan's eye and today he isn't nearly so gunky, i think it looks better! just wanted to share that with you all in the hope that it will help out somone else's lo too!
