same food for more than 1 week develop sensitivity?
« on: January 13, 2006, 15:09:39 pm »
Hello!  I have been giving my lo oatmeal for 18 days---started pears 5 about 5 days into that (only for about 3 days b/c she wasn't too thrilled with it)  Then today just started brown rice--she took that fine but then when I went to finish the meal with the oatmeal, she did not take more than 10 teaspoons and she usually finished the whole half cup fine.  I was just reading afterward in Ruth Yoran's Super Baby Food Book that if you give the same food for more than 7 days before introducing a new one, she could develop a sensitivity to it.   How come I never heard anything about that?!?  I didn't know it could cause a problem once you knew that they did not have a reaction to a food I thought you were in the clear! has anyone ever heard of / experienced that?

I'd love to know the answer to this myself. Hoping others can provide some insight.
