Advice for "A" time for 3 month old

I am all over this site these days! 

I just wanted to know if anyone could let me know what their activity time is like for their 3 month old & if it's working...thanks!

i was kinda hoping you would hear from someone who has a three month old now as its sometimes hard to keep all the things Ethan did straight!

i don't know if you mean that you are wanting routine suggestions or activity suggestions.  Activities i can help with, the routine has changed so many times since then that it is only a distant memory!

Activity suggestions would be great! I'm just trying to figure out if I'm overstimulating or boring him...I guess I'm just trying to get an idea of what other people did to entertain their babies...thanks!

sorry it took me so long to get back here!  :oops:
i think that for activities for a three month old you can start to take cues from them, try lots of things and positions- tummy time, lying on an activity matt, supported sitting on your knee, held against you, head over your shoulder, etc are all good starters... you can leave them to entertain themselves for a bit in positions that they like or tolerate and the ones where more struggle was involved (tummy time in our house!) i would stay close and pull out guarenteed fun things like a mirror or just lie down myself and chatter away!
at three months my ds was doing some reaching and grabbing so things that crinkled or jingled were great (but not things with buttons to activate noises yet because he didn't understand them)
i did pull out some pop up toys because although ds couldn't activate them he watched when i did.
we did lots of socialising too, just he and i pulling faces and making noises and out in the wild world with others, oh and we did action rhymes and read stories...
also, try to build on what your little one can do, if they are reaching give them something cool to bash and hit and then grab and then mouth! check out the activities anouncement too

I have a three month old. He loves holding and eating toys, or sitting in a bouncy seat. We smile at each other a lot, and I talk to him.
Everything is really new for him, so he doesn't need a lot of stimulation. I really try to keep stuff mellow. They're picking up everything anyway. I does love interacting, though, so we make faces and talk and stuff.
But if he's happy "playing" by himself - looking at something, listening to music, mouthing a toy - I let him. They need to develop a sense of independence, even this young, and know that they're okay on their own. I'll do my things around the house, in the same room, and come back to smile at him, or I'll say his name and talk to him while I'm working.

Isn't this age just full of new, exciting discoveries? He's all of a sudden become so responsive!
