For those with a fish allergie
« on: January 24, 2006, 20:53:08 pm »
So I'm very allergic to fish all kinds not one kind can I eat even clams and stuff.  So how do I get my Omega 3 fatty acids.  Can you be allergic to omega 3 fatty acids?  Growing up the doc's always told me if it makes you sick don't eat it.  But I'm finding out the older I get the more I can't eat like mushroom's, and cashews.

Just wondering if there are supplements I can take or other food's that I could eat that would give the nutrients like fish would.

I'm in the same position, if it swims I'm allergic.  I use ground flaxseed to get my Omega 3's, I normally put it on my morning cereal.

Flaxseed that's what everyone is telling me.  I'm going to go to the health store when I visit my Mom, and get some.  Thanks for the reply....
