Wasn't sure where to post this but I dropped the dreamfeed amonth ago or so and lately my daughter is not taking in what she is supposed to during the day, i never know if i should go ahead and offer a late night feeding to meet her milk requirements or not??  i never know what to do with this situation-HELP :? or should i just forget all the "rules" and just try to get the nutrients in her, late or not?

Hi!

My ped. recently told me that, as they eat more solids, LOs decrease the amount of milk they drink.  If she's not taking it during the day, and she's sleeping well at night, I wouldn't worry about trying to feed her more milk.

Of course, I guess I should cover my bases here and mention that you might want to call your ped. or a nurse to make sure everything's all right and that your DD is eating enough, gaining proper weight, etc.

HTH!
Hugs!

Hi

If she's a small baby then she will eat less than all the books tell you she's supposed to eat! As long as she's gaining weight and is not crying from hunger then I wouldn't worry too much about how much she's getting.

If she's happy to sleep through without the dream feed then just go without it.

love
Marie
