Should I wake her up?
« on: January 17, 2006, 02:10:50 am »
DD is 12 weeks old and seemed to nap all day long yesterday but slept amazingly last night only waking up once.  She is back at napping all day again today but I am worried she might be up all night.  Do babies at this age go through times where they just need to sleep a lot more during the day?  Should I wake her up?  If I do she gets cranky and just falls asleep again...  She has eaten normally today but is taking naps that last 2hours!

I personally would not wake her, especially if she is sleeping well at night.  Sleep begets sleep so the better rested they are the better they sleep.  As long as she is eating regularly during the day and still resting well at night then I would say just go with it for a bit, she will change things up on you before you know it.   Also, I think 2 hours is good and not too long for a "nap".
