Just wondering where the emoticons have gone?  I can't seem to find them and I miss them desperately!

Hi Silvia -

I randomly found out where the emoticons are by total accident. 

So what you need to do is go to your profile.  Click on the option for something like "change the look and format".  Then at the bottom there will be something about a "quick reply".  Select the option that is for making quick reply the default.  Save this change.  Then when you want to reply to someone's post, go the bottom of the screen and click on where it says "Quick Reply" or maybe the quick reply screen will already be there.  In any case, with quick reply the emoticons are there as well as the spell check option that everyone is excited about.

I hope this makes sense!  :-\ Let me know if I can explain something better....

ETA: It seems that not all of the emoticons work...oh well.

Found them!  :) :) :) You are an angel

But it means them that they cannot be used together with the scrolling text and all the stuff that is in the other menu for replies...... or if we want to use them together, we'll have to copy-paste.

Tawnya,

Above the advertisement box (where the Google adds are) you can see several buttons (Home, Help, Search, Profile, Calendar and Logout)

Click on Profile and when you are in the Profile page, under the advertisement box (the Google one again) you will see on the right side of the screen the options Profile Info, Modify Profile and Actions.

Under Modify Profile, click on the 3rd option "Look and Layout Preferences" and when you are in that page, scroll down and enable the Quick Reply option (choose the show on by default) . Click on the Change Profile  button to save your changes and now, whenever you are checking a thread, you will see at the end of he screen the Quick Reply Box and on top of the box, you will see the list of the emoticons.

Melissa, about what I told you of not being able to use emoticons and the options of the other reply box (the scrolling text, etc) I figured out that after using emoticons in the quick reply, if you click on Preview, you will be sent to the other reply box where you can use the  other options..
