baby oatmeal
«

Monica has been eating rice cereal for 2-3 weeks now with no problem.
Yesterday I tried teh baby oatmeal cereal and she has a rash around her mouth and chin. I haven't given it to her again.
It struck me as odd that she would react to oatmeal? Any thoughts?
TIA

Definitely possible but did you happen to use a different wash cloth to wash her face when she was done? different detergent maybe?

You know that thought occurred to me this morning! I just bought a huge pack of white washcloths from Costco and I didn't wash them first. (insert embarassed smiley here) I did wash her face with one of them so that could be it as well.
Do you think it's ok to try to oatmeal again? I should probably wait until this has cleared up so I don't confuse myself!
thanks!

I'd wait for it to clear up and then try again - as you thought. It does seem odd to react that way to oatmeal - but who knows. Hopefully not for her sake.

Also, it could be what you made the oatmeal with, if you used milk or something. You probably didn't, but that might be a possiblity too.
