At what age did you drop your lo's Dreamfeed?
« on: January 24, 2006, 17:26:40 pm »
My ds is 5 months and doing great on 3 solid meals (each with an 8oz bottle) per day with his last bottle being at 7:00.  I've been giving him his dreamfeed at 10:00 (8oz.) but last night he only took 3 oz. and I'm wondering if it's time to drop the dreamfeed, or just continue for a while with a lesser amount.  He sleeps from 7:30-7:30 pretty consistently.  What did you all do?

Kathy-Ann,

What I did was to simply stop offering AK her dreamfeed around 7 months. Sometimes she woke up and ask for it, sometimes she didn't.

Maybe what you can expect is that Sean Henry will wake up earlier due to hunger. I would recommend you to try to increase the amount of food he has during the day at the same time you drop the dream feed so his tummy is full enough.

What I did to stop the middle of the night/way too early in the morning feeds was to follow Leah's Mom plan https://babywhispererforums.com/index.php/topic,46907.0.html

It has worked like a charm  ;)

Good luck!

hi kathy-ann, at 7 months i decided not to give bean his dreamfeed just to see what would happen.  he slept through, and i never did it again.  once or twice in the month following he woke in the night, i offered him a feed just incase he was hungry, but he never took it.
