We got Tyler down to 1 bottle a day (cow's milk) by 1 yr. That was the bedtime bottle, and we just weren't ready to get rid of it yet. We finally did ditch it around 15 mo. I NEVER thought he'd drink enough milk from a sippy during the day, but he really surprised me. I got an insulated cup and offered it or had it available a lot during the day, and he'd take little sips here and there. I made up for the milk he didn't drink with cheese and yogurt at meals. Once we got rid of that last bottle, it didn't take him long to really up his milk intake and start chugging out of the sippy. About a month after we cut out the last bottle, we were have to limit his milk intake...never thought we'd get there!
Tracy said (in the toddler book, I think) that it's okay to keep up bottles until 2 yrs old. I know there are quite a few moms around here who kept bottles until then. Some have been surprised at how easy it was to get rid of bottles at that age, others had a tough time because their LO's got really attached to their bottles. You still have a few weeks to go, so you could go for it now if you felt up to it or hold off until she's older. In the end, though, it comes down to whatever you think is best for you and your DD!
