Im hoping to get some advice about my 16 weeks old son.
Hes thriving, has doubled his birth (16.2lbs at 16 weeks), i dropped the night feed at 8 weeks and he has slept through without any need for dummy, Sssh pat etc since 10 weeks.
hes on a good 4 hourly routine and naps well during the day and is a happy boy. Feeds can be difficult as hes so nosey and fidgety and loses interest quickly even when still hungry. Ive started to slowly wean him on advice of HV as he is a big boy, was drinking 38oz a day, interested in food, holding head up, and is a sicky baby etc etc, but had started to lose interest in food, being very fussy and grumpy al the time and she wondered if the milk wasnt quite enough for him.
So his normal day is as follows
7am, milk (6oz)
11am, mik (6-8oz) & 5-6 spoons food
3pm, milk (6-8oz) & 3spoons food
6.45 milk (7-9)
10.30 DF (6oz)
however the last few days hes had only 6max at all day feeds, and the 7am one was only 3oz and the DF was only 4oz so he wasnt really hungry in the am.
Is it too ealry to stop the DF?
If not should i drop oz at night 1st and add to the day - trouble is i cant add to the day and remove from night as he simply wont take any more during the day and im worried if i drop the DF more then he will wake again.
Any advice appreciated.
