4 month old won't take bottle after waking
« on: February 01, 2006, 22:07:50 pm »
My 4.5 month old won't take the bottle when she wakes up.  Even after sleeping 8 hours she'd rather have her activity before her bottle.  She will refuse when I try to offer it.  So I end up letting her have a little activity and then feeding her when she's ready.  But by then she's ready for a nap and is too overtired to have more activity time.  How can I change this habit so that I'm not feeding before sleeping?

Hello  :)

How much will she take..say 1/2 hr after she wakes?  Zoe was never a big breakfast eater so always ate less in the AM, even after going 12 hours at night  :o  Does she go to sleep independently?  If so, it's ok to tweak EASY and feed before a nap...just make sure she is put down to sleep (not using the bottle to fall asleep).  Other thing is you could tweak the mornings to be 3 hr EASY and then 4 hr in the afternoon. HTH  :)
