How many bottles?
« on: February 04, 2006, 07:01:40 am »
Okay so i know this is most likely listed somewhere else but I can't find it.
My DD is 7 months old and seems to not be intested in 4 bottles.
I have read that they need between 24 & 32 oz at this age - but she doesn't want that much.
I can get her to take about 4 oz 4 times a day with her solids.

Any thought??? :)

is her weight good for her age? and is she having enough cereal in the am?  The only concern I think about them not getting the 'suggested' amount is that they aren't getting enough iron.  Are you feeding her approx. every 4 hours?  Around 8-9 months they start to just want 3 bottles a day.

Hi  :)

Are you feeding solids 4x a day?  If so, you may want to cut one of those out, or maybe even cut back on the solids at each feeding if she is taking large quantities at a time.  You may also want to try offering the bottle/sippy first before giving any solids.
