brunch for toddlers?
« on: February 08, 2006, 20:51:43 pm »
hi everyone,

SIL is getting married soon, and the day after we're having both sides of the family come over for brunch. There will be an 18 month old, a preschooler ,and a kindergartner.

my ds is 10 mo so i have no idea what older kids would like to eat for brunch?? i was thinking mickey-mouse pancakes, fruit, yogurt. any other ideas?? also the brunch is at around 11, so i'm thinking it's closer to the kiddie's lunch. should i prepare more lunch-type foods, and what?

thanks!!

I'd simply make whatever you KNOW they will eat - lunch or brunch foods!!

What you have suggested so far is great!!  My ds LOVES scrambled eggs.  Maybe a veggie in there too.

I think you're definately on the right track!!

Good luck!! ;D ;D

how long till the wedding? gee you will have your hands full, what about, sandwiches, fresh deli meat, egg and lettuce, cheese, i would try to do something that i didn't have to cook, do you have to do lunch for the adults too? if so what about cold chicken, salad and crusty bread, maybe a fruit platter afterwards, this way you can prepare before hand and enjoy your time with the family, have the best time
