My 10 month old will not eat solids or drink from a bottle/cup...

I've been trying to get my son to eat solids and drink water or diluted juice from a bottle or sippy cup for four months now, with no luck.  I have tried homemade foods, canned baby food, and finger foods.  I have tried different types of sippy cups, regular cups and bottles.  He seems to be perfectly content to rely solely on breastfeeding for his nourishment.  His weight continues to be above average, so I am not concerned that he is starving.  But it is very frustrating!  Does anyone else share this issue?  Or, any tips on how to encourage him to eat/drink?  Thanks in advance.

I wish I had some advice, but we are going through the same thing.  My daughter is 8 months old and we have been trying solids for 3 months.  She hates everything!  We have tried cereal, stage 1 baby food, yogurt and teething biscuits. My doctor suggested trying some other finger foods (Gerber fruit and veggie puffs and cooked vegetables) and if it does not improve in a week we might have to see a speech therapist?   Would love some advice.   Thanks!

Are you guys trying any kind of oral stimulation....ie: brushing teeth, rubbing gums with gauze...maybe they have an oral aversion??  Have you tried giving solids first?  Maybe they are too full from milk feeds??  Just suggestions. Very difficult!!!
