I bite T's off.  I could never get him to hold still with the nail clippers, and if I tried it when he was sleeping he would wake up.  So I just bite them off.  He thinks it is funny.  But it works. :)

I get DH to distract William by pulling faces and stuff while he holds his arm and I hold his hand and cut them quick with baby nail clippers.
Stresses me out every time though as I just dont want to hurt him!

generally we cut all of andrews nails while he's sleeping.  it just works best.

but if there's one that's grown fast or chipped or whatever i just bite it off.  andrew thinks it's hilarious and laughs and laughs (he's 7.5 months) while i do it.

sometimes daddy will attempt to cut his nails while he's awake.  sometimes it goes over well and sometimes not.

Initially I was too afraid to bite or cut my dd's nails so I used a nail file while my dh distracted her or while she slept. I only started cutting them 2 weeks ago. I can't believe how fast the fingernails grow!! Toenails on the otherhand I've never cut or filed- they don't seen to grow ???

Hello!

I sit ds on my lap facing out and put not any Baby Einstein, but Baby Mozart, which is real slow going and soothing.  Then I hug him with my arms and cut his nails while he's hypnotized by the TV.

Hi.

I usually find a peaceful moment (maybe after eating, with full tummy she is almost unable to fight) put something she likes into the VHS(?) and while she's watching Balamory (eg.) I cut her nails off. Somethimes she fights back, then I wait 'till she calms down, and try again. Last time I cut her nails in 2 or 3 days.

when Ryan was younger we would bite his nails as we were to scared to use nail clippers . then as he got older we give him a little pot of cheerios and he munches them while dp cuts his nails , or i just try and distract him the best i can. we find his toe nails grow just as quick !
