Gage and I are struggling to extend A time for a 4hr EASY, but it has been ridiculously difficult. How long was the A time for your lo at this age? How was the road getting there? Do you have any tips?

ds is 4.5 mo and his A time is approx 1 hr 45 min.  I tried to exted for 4 hour easy, but he was just too cranky and decided to leave it and he may adjust on his own.  It's not that far off anyway, and I just watch for sleep cues.

Marisa just turned 6 months on Saturday. We are currently between 2 1/2-2.5 A time (including wind down) - she gets tired and fussy by 2 hours or just before but I can hold her off by singing quiet songs, cuddling, reading a story, etc.

A this age i extended DD awake time from 2hrs to 2.5/3hrs slowly and dropped the cat nap as it was interferring with her naps and bed time. I had no problems extending it so if you want some advice i would be happy to gride you through it  :)

I would loooooove advice! Gage gets grumpy after being up an hour, and believe it or not that is an improvement from being up only 45 min. I try to keep him up for an additional 30 min, but sometimes only 15.  I try everything to take his mind off being tired. It is so exhausting! I try to take him out as much as possible, which keeps him awake, but it seems he gets overtired. All of his naps are affecting his bedtime (I finally figured that out ::) He needs about 4 hrs of nap, thus the 4 hr EASY. I just dont know what I am doing wrong.

My DD at 6 months was 1hr 40mins.  Now she is currently at 2hrs-2hrs 10mins. I didn't do a 4 hr EASY until she was nearly 61/2 months old.  She was on a 3.5hr EASY from 4 months till then.

As my DD 8 months old next week and she is still getting 3hrs 30mins to 4hrs naps a day.

Hi Natasha! Sorry for the late response, but we have been VERY busy with Gage these past few days. Our routine is so off right now due to trying the extended A times. We are just really struggling :-[. He is now back to 45 min naps which is a signal that he is overitired, so I have enlisted the help of the nap board (those ladies are Awesome!) However I am still open to advice, but may have to slow down the extended A times. Thank you.
