Dropping bottle feeds
« on: February 16, 2006, 04:53:03 am »
My LO still has 4 bottles a day, he'll be 11 months old next week. One month ago he started to lose interest in the afternoon bottle but now he glugs down all 4 (at 200ml each). Should I have dropped at least one of these bottles by now? The reason I haven't is that it's been a tricky time with the solids. We started when he was 6 months old but he had a couple of periods when he wouldn't eat (colds, teething) them.  He won't touch finger foods and is just starting to tolerate "textured" purees...His first 2 teeth only came through last month.

Tyler was on 4 bottles a day until we started whole milk at 1 yr. I never even thought about dropping them because he always chugged them down. Babies are all different, so I don't think it's a big deal that your DS hasn't dropped a bottle yet. It sounds like he's doing just fine!

Thank you very much for that! I have to keep reminding myself that all babies are different...!
