Hope this helps someone else....our baby has been waking dutifully every night at 10:30/11ish for months (he is 7 months now). He would then awaken every 3 hours from then own (2am, 5am, 7am). Finally figured out that I have been starting the dishwasher, washing my face, etc. right as I go to bed each night and it is dh and I who have been waking him. I think he hits that 3 hour portion of the sleep cycle right as we are heading to bed and he continues this cycle the rest of the night. . I have changed my routine a bit and now he is only waking once between 7:30pm and 7am. I find this acceptable since I am soley breastfeeding wo bottles. Hope my discovery helps some other sleep deprived individual...
