Help me for my baby's night wakings (every 45 minutes!)
« on: February 23, 2006, 09:18:26 am »
Hi!!  :) My name’s Katia. I’m an Italian mother and I’m sorry but my English is not very well  ::)! But I need some advices for my baby’s night wakings. He’s 7 month old, he go to bed and fall asleep by himself. He uses a comforter. But after about 45 minutes he reawakens. I have to get up and carry him, calm him and give him his comforter. I put back him in his cradle when he is still awake and he fall asleep by himself. But he reawakens again after 45 minutes. And so on for all the night! I’m desperate! Please help me and sorry for my mistakes!!

Bye
Katia

Katia, your English is fine!  :)
Could your baby be overtired? Or has he just learnt something new - sitting, crawling? or is he teething? Can you post your daily routine? Is he actually crying when he wakes? How long has he been waking like this?
Sorry to just ask lots of questions! With a bit more information I'm sure we can work something out!

One more question, do you think the comforter (I assume you mean a dummy/pacifier) has become a prop, so when your baby goes from one sleep cycle to the next he wakes and can't get back to sleep without it?
