Return of the monster
« on: February 23, 2006, 18:20:35 pm »
This may be a stupid question, but when does your period return after you have completely weaned your baby?  I was pregnant within weeks of weaning my daughter so have no idea when I should expect it to return this time around.  DS has been weaned for about a month now.

Sorry to be asking such a dumb question, and I hope this is the right place to ask (I wasn't sure which category "stupid questions" fall under...).

Thanks :)

The average time for the return of your periods is 14.6 months, almost anything is considered normal when it comes to your periods while and after breastfeeding. Are you wanting to get pregnant again? I'd say leave thing about 4 or 5 more months and if your still worried that they havnt returned mention it to your health vistor/ GP. hth

p.s not a stupid question at all!
