breast and bottle
« on: February 23, 2006, 18:39:13 pm »
Hi, I hope everyone is well?  I have a question and not sure if it belongs in this thread but didn't know where else to put it! haha .. I bf my daughter mostly but I am starting to wean her off by replacing a bf with formula in a bottle.  I usually try to give her at least 8oz at that time. Is that to much? or to little?

Hi there!  I also bf my lo - but I have also always given him his dream feed as a bottle of formula.  He is now 6.5 months and takes anywhere between 6 to 8 oz.  It really depends on your lo.  I would suggest to make an 8 oz bottle and see how much she takes...if she drinks it all then it was definetly enough!  Good luck... :) I will also have to start thinking about weaning to bottle soon  :'(

Hi!  :)

I agree with Alex.  Start with 8oz, if she takes it all, add an ounce the next time.  If she takes less adjust likewise.  Zoe was taking about 6oz at that age.  :)
