Brunch on the go
« on: February 24, 2006, 09:14:44 am »
Any ideas for lunch on the go ?

We are usually out and about during the weekend. DS has milk when he wakes up at 7 - 8 am and is not usually hungry until 11 am. By that time, we're usually out of the house so before we leave I pack his food for the day.

I am not quite sure what to offer him at 11 am. His dinner would normally consist of meat and veg but it can't be that yummy served cold and he's not too keen. I also pack fruit, a jar of Heinz Tropical Muesli (which he loves), crackers and sandwiches, but he usually ignores them as he has sandwiches at 3 pm instead during the day.

I am looking for ideas for  meals that could be served cold - macaroni cheese, what else ?

(It's a different routine during the week as when he's in nursery he has toast and porridge around 9 am, but when he's at home he's simply not interested)
Thanks

My LO will only eat foods cold so what about:
homemade healthy muffins
cheese cut into cubes serve w/ crackers
tofu - same

thats all i can think of just now.
