Growth spurt at 24weeks ??????

Not sure if this should be in this forum or not 


My Lo is just over 5 months, is there is growth spurt around this time?   

For the past week I have struggled to get him to eat 7oz and he was taking an hour at each feed, we even went down to just 3 bottles in a day.

Today he has been taking 8 to 10 oz in 30minutes over 3 bottles - so far downed 32oz and is still due to have the other half of his bedtime bottle (after his bath). He usually takes between 28 and 31oz in a day + porridge and veggies.

It certainly does sound like a growth spurt to me    But it's not unusual at all for them to cut back some days/weeks then eat a lot more some days/weeks.  I always figure as long as it doesn't affect the night sleep and they continue to gain weight, then all is well.  Babies know when they are full and I think the only time you can really "overfeed" them is when you are using it to get them to sleep where they really just need the sucking action but inevitably get the milk.
