double strollers
« on: March 02, 2006, 22:17:55 pm »
Hi.  I have a 19 month old son and am expecting a baby in May.  Just wondering if anyone has any advice on double strollers, any pros or cons?
I have an infant seat that will fit a tandem stroller. It is the Eddie Bauer tandem.  I have heard it is very heavy so I am hesitant to get it.  I would prefer a side by side and Combi has one that looks great, it is very lightweight and I think will be better when the kids are older so they can both see. The problem is I would have to buy a whole new infant seat and 2 bases, so I just want to make sure it is worth it.
Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks,
Kim

Hi, check out the And Then There Were 2 forum, I'm pretty certain you'll find a discussion in there about recommendations, failing that, check out the HoggWatch forum.

We have the Phil & Ted three-wheeler double buggy which is absolutely fab. It's not side by side but the child on the back gets a good view. The newborn lies completely flat in a little coccon which you can take in and out without waking him/her up. You can convert the buggy very easily for toddler/baby or two toddlers so it goes on and on. It's very lightweight and easy to maneouvre. I would definitely recommend it!
